In this newly created role you will report directly to the President and CEO and attend PHSA Board meetings in an executive capacity. You will have the opportunity to improve healthcare in BC for the populations served directly by PHSA and in the capacity of PHSA’s broader provincial mandate by working collaboratively with external partners to constantly improve the health system. You will be a strong clinical voice to the executive table leading the establishment of an integrated medical governance structure and representing PHSA interests with the Ministry of Health and external partners on matters related to medical affairs, academics and research, and quality. You will assume responsibility and accountability for the overall leadership and governance of the medical staff and for the high quality of medical care provided to those served by PHSA.
Working with the Ministry of Health, their partner health authorities and other health care stakeholders, PHSA plans, oversees, coordinates, delivers, monitors, and evaluates specialized health services to provide top notch, cost-effective healthcare across the province.
You will support administrative and physician leaders to deliver PHSA’s specialized programs and services. These include services delivered directly by PHSA: Laboratory Services, BC Cancer, BC Center for Disease Control, BC Mental Health and Substance Use, BC Emergency Health Services, BC Women’s Hospital, and BC Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. They also include planning, coordination, and evaluation services such as BC Transplant, BC Renal, Cardiac Services BC, Trauma Services BC, Trans Care BC, Stroke Services BC, Child Health BC, and Perinatal Services BC. An advisor to the Board and CEO, you will contribute insight and experience to: optimizing specialty service delivery; strategic and medical planning; fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement; advancing PHSA’s role in teaching and research; encouraging person centered care; and increasing physician human resource and administration capability.
You are likely currently registered or eligible for registration with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons and may also possess a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration or a closely related health care discipline. You have at least 10 years of leadership experience in a large complex healthcare or academic institution and a strong track record of collaboration and systems improvement.
Due to retirement, applications are invited for the position of Secretary-Treasurer for School District 5, Southeast Kootenay. Duties to commence April 1, 2019 or as mutually agreed.
The Position
The Secretary-Treasurer is the chief financial officer for the District and reports directly to the Board of Education. The selected candidate will have a professional accounting designation and an exemplary employment record that ideally includes a senior management or strategic leadership role in finance and human resources. The Secretary-Treasurer serves as the corporate financial officer for the District performing the duties set out in the regulations and has supervisory oversight for all business functions including the areas of finance, negotiations, CUPE grievances, transportation, technology, and facilities including custodial, grounds and maintenance. In addition, the Secretary-Treasurer performs all duties set out in the School Act and such other duties as are assigned by the Board from time to time.

The Manager, Physical Activity, is responsible for leading, enhancing and implementing a strategy to increase the level of physical activity and reduce sedentary behavior across campus. Working with interdisciplinary colleagues from across campus and a team of students, the incumbent will lead programming, partnerships and promotion to increase awareness of the benefits of physical activity, and translate physical activity research into practice. The incumbent contributes to the recreation department’s strategic priorities and objectives, and will also lead on low barrier and accessible programming, department equity and inclusion initiatives, needs assessment work, and research opportunities.
School District 60 (Peace River North) is seeking applications for a Physiotherapist. Physiotherapy is a professional health discipline primarily directed toward the prevention and alleviation of movement dysfunction to promote maximal independence for the student in his/her home, school and community. Physiotherapists provide services to children with orthopaedic, neurological, muscular, spinal, or joint dysfunction. These services include assistance in physical positioning to promote optimal physical access, assistance in maximizing independence for students who have limited mobility, and prevention and alleviation of movement dysfunction. The services performed by a physiotherapist in schools may include screening, assessment, consultation, program planning, and assistance in diagnosis, treatment, equipment selection/adaptation, training and research.

Term Specific Full Time – Prince George, BC (Flexible)
The Lead—Overdose Prevention, Response and Addressing Stigma works with the Population and Public Health Leadership Team and other key stakeholders in the Overdose Response work to gather upstream evidence and design a knowledge implementation strategy and tactics addressing stigma and discrimination for people who use substances. This includes the implementation of leading interventions into direct services across Northern Health, specific to healthy people in healthy communities and across the realm of policy, education, knowledge, service design, practice and evaluation. This strategy will further the alignment of population based actions within the Northern Health operating system, working closely with Population and Public Health Leadership to grow select partnerships across the region for the purpose of driving a culture of quality, addressing stigma, harms and focused on better health for populations.
