Applications are invited for the position of Manager of Health and Safety for School District No. 73 (Kamloops/Thompson). As part of School District No. 73’s management team, the Manager of Health and Safety is responsible for the continued development, implementation and oversight of the occupational health and safety program for the district. This broad set of responsibilities includes prevention and claims (including all claim reporting to WorkSafeBC, Review Division and Appeal Tribunal Representation). The manager is responsible for related Human Resources functions, such as employee orientations.
The successful applicant for this position will demonstrate:
- Five (5) years’ experience in a lead role as Manager of Health and Safety for a large organization
- Degree/diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- CRSP designation
- Experience in the field of Human Resource Management
