HealthLink BC’s (HLBC) telehealth platform delivers high quality telehealth services across the continuum of care to health care providers and the public that positively impact the health care experience, health outcomes and the availability and use of health human resources in a way that will improve the affordability and sustainability of health care in British Columbia.

 

 

The Team Lead provides supervision and professional oversight for primary care and specialized area dietitian services including managing staff and financial resources, managing stakeholder relationships, applying legislation, policies and professional standards in a consistent manner, participating in provincial policy development, and overseeing program delivery and professional projects. The focus of this position is implementation of HLBC provincial primary and specialized nutrition care services. The position delivers nutrition care expertise and advanced practice consultation to health providers and the public to develop awareness and adoption of nutrition regulations, policies and best practices related to specialized and primary care nutrition across British Columbia.

 

 

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Registered Dietitian, registered in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent experience as a Registered Dietitian relevant to primary and specialized area nutrition clinical services.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising a team in hospital, facility, community or private practice setting including leadership.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of project management experience related to dietetic practice.
  • A minimum two (2) years of clinical dietetic experience in nutrition education and counselling acquired in a variety of settings including primary care, acute care and ambulatory care. Experience in lifestyle counselling by telephone is preferred.
  • Significant experience in applied research and in critical appraisal of scientific literature and in writing practice guidelines, reports and public and professional resources.
  • Computer experience with relevant software, i.e. electronic health records, nutrient analysis applications, MS Office, etc.
