The conference schedule is packed with a number of excellent presentations touching on all aspects of building safe and inclusive communities. We would like to thank everyone who submitted an abstract. The review process is over and results of the review has been emailed to each author, if you submitted an abstract please check your inbox for your results and presentation time. Please note presentation times may change as the schedule is finalized.
This year’s plenary sessions will feature a number of world renowned experts in their respective fields; including Bridget Penhale, an expert in mental health and senior violence prevention from the University of East Anglia in the UK, Finn Kjærulf, program manager at the Danish Institution Against Torture, Dr. Irvin Waller, violence prevention expert from the University of Ottawa, Rachel Davis, executive director at the Prevention Institute in the US, Dr. Bernie Pauly, a professor and health equity specialist at the University of Victoria, Dr. Arturo Cervantes, an injury prevention and road safety expert from the University of Anahuac in Mexico, Dr. Mariana Brussoni, expert on risky play at BC Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer for BC.
