The Global Journal of Medicine and Public Health (GJMEDPH) was launched early in 2012. As noted in the inaugural editorial [1], as a new entry in the health science field, it aims to promote participation so that research and practice that is more sensitive to varying social, cultural and economic conditions around the world, has a fairer chance of being disseminated.
GJMEDPH [ISSN: 227-9604] is a bimonthly peer reviewed journal with an internationally diverse editorial board, coordinated by Editor in Chief Dr SM Kadri. An open access journal, it is committed to rapid, low cost and accessible publication of relevant articles.
INVITATION
GJMEDPH welcomes on-line submissions from anywhere in the world. Types of article accepted include original papers, literature reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor.

A Provincial Resource for Teens and Young Adults
British Columbia’s teens and young adults now have a resource available where they can check their mental wellbeing and get support for mental health challenges: mindcheck.ca.
mindcheck.ca’s public awareness program has been developed to raise early recognition of the symptoms – changes in feelings, thoughts and behaviours – that a teen or young adult may experience or that a parent, teacher or friend may observe, that could be an emerging mental health or substance use issue. Public awareness materials direct them to mindcheck.ca to check it out.
How You Can Help: Order and Use Public Awareness Materials
These materials reach out to mindcheck.ca’s target audiences: teens (13-25) and third parties (family, friends and those who work with teens/young adults). Materials available include:
• Poster and postcard sized PDFs: For use in newsletters, on websites, in presentations, self-printing.
• Limited printed posters/postcards available for order: For display and distribution.
• Social Media: Tweet content and web, tweet and facebook icons.
• Articles aimed at the target audience and third party: For use in newsletters, on websites, etc.
• Factsheets for download and distribution.
Download or order public awareness materials at http://mindcheck.ca/mindcheckca-promotional-materials
Check out mindcheck.ca today. Order and use public awareness materials in as many ways as possible. With your support, we can reach and support B.C.’s teens and young adults when they need it the most.
