How-to Support Peer-Led Initiatives
August 13, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Starting in February 2020, the Public Health Association of BC, Community Action Initiative (CAI), and the Canadian Mental Health Association – BC Division (CMHA BC) have worked in partnership with a cross-provincial, peer-led advisory committee to define essential practices in overdose response and prevention and identify peer-led groups and community-based organizations across the province that are practicing them.
As a result of that effort, we’re pleased to announce our new OD PREP Knowledge Exchange Webinar Series! This co-hosted FREE seven-part series will showcase personal empowerment, community-driven actions and public policy changes that together can shift BC to a harm reduction and health promotion approach that will save and sustain meaningful lives.
Our first installment, How to Support Peer-Led Initiatives, is scheduled for Friday August 13th at 12 pm and will feature presentations by the ground-breaking Peer2Peer project and the one-of-a-kind Business Engagement Ambassadors Project (BEAP).Our presenters will share the what, how and why of successful peer-led initiatives, then open the floor to you for an interactive discussion led by your questions.
