Join us in learning from author and academic Jesse Thistle. He will speak about his ground-breaking work to re-define homelessness and addictions through a Métis-Cree lens.

Jesse Thistle is the acclaimed author of From the Ashes: My Story of Being Métis, Homeless, and Finding my Way – a Canadian bestseller and finalist in Canada Reads in 2020. Grounded in his own previous struggles with addiction and homelessness, his work has important implications for service providers, educators, governments and all who work to build stronger, more resilient communities.
