The Surrey School District, a large, dynamic and progressive School District, seeks applicants interested in this Human Resources Assistant vacancy. Reporting to the Associate Manager in Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant performs a wide variety of duties including:

  • Providing general Human Resources support and information to support staff, Principals, Vice-Principals and District Managers
  • Assisting with EA entitlement processes
  • Reviewing resumes and performs reference checks
  • Updating and ensuring data accuracy in the department’s human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Documenting new hires
  • Ensuring performance evaluations are completed by supervisors in a timely manner
  • Providing Human Resources information to support staff on collective agreement interpretations, leaves and benefits
  • Generating various Human Resources related electronic reports
  • Assisting with other administrative functions performed within Human Resources as required

 

The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, HRIS experience and have recent highly successful experience working in a Human Resources department. A diploma in Human Resources is an asset. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality.

 

The starting salary for this position is $49,799 per annum plus a liberal benefit package.
