I work as an independent consultant specializing in program planning and evaluation within the field of public health. I have conducted a wide range of applied research and evaluation projects for non-profit organizations, government, corporations and funders that address various health and social service issues. I have a passion for leading collaborative strategy and evaluation processes that fuel real-world change. Working both locally and globally, I am driven to help develop, assess and improve the effectiveness of public health interventions.
I am passionate about working with others to enhance their understanding of program planning and evaluation concepts and practices, and build cultures of evaluation within organizations. My passion for capacity building has led her to instruct the Program Planning and Evaluation class within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in repeat sessional appointments. I continue to seek out experiential learning opportunities for my students to bridge the gap between public health theory and practice.
I am a member of the Public Health Association of BC, Canadian Evaluation Society and American Evaluation Association. I currently serve as Regional Coordinator for the Canadian Evaluation Society BC and Yukon Chapter. I hold a Masters of Public Health from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University.
